if you have this goal you cant be a pipefitter, they make hella money cuz they are workin 60+hrs a week, and you dont stay at home much, my dad said i would hate it cuz i would never get to work on my truck, you'd def have to pay a shop to build it cuz you wouldnt even want to think about touching it when you finally get time.
ask god to lead your path

I ain't a big fan of buying somebody else's project ........but i would
lol u wont retire at thirty just to let u know. my dad was a pipe fitter and welder from the time he was 17 till he started goin blind at 45. u make the big bucks if u know how to fit and weld. its alot of hours though all my friends weld and they have badass trucks and work like 65+ hours a week.
sean i can't agree with you more, about badass rides are built not bought BUT IF YOU WORK 60+ HOURS A WEEK its hard to build anything after a long, hard 12 hour days work, hell its hard to build a damn bologna sandwich and i was joking about the retireing
uhh, having a shop work on your vehicle is not buying someone elses project, its smart when you cant do everything, someone else is painting my truck, and doing interior work, guess that means its not mine........

if you want any kind of family life you will not want to go pipe welding. You will make anywhere from 45 to 60 bucks an hour minus your fuel to get there everyday, your motel room, food, clothing, welding supplys(which some companys supply)you will need a pure dc welder mounted in the bed of a truck with all the tools required, and to top it all off........ you will have to pay your own taxes. I know an assload of oilfield and pipeline welders that havent payed taxes cause they were busy spending their good amounts of dough and most of them are almost poor cause they are having to pay back almost a million in back taxes. just posting what i know to be true of being a pipeliner..
