'86 temp gauge & gas gauge cut out???

Anyone have any suggestions on what to check? I can't see any fuses that are blown, and I'm wondering if these Mazda's have a habit/history with the gauges quiting working? Mine's a 1986 B2000 2.0??Thanks a million in advance if you have any thought's?

my 86 was notorious for the gas gauge crapping out...I killed like 3 of em....never a temp gauge thought.....use a multimeter and see if thereading at the sending unit is the same as the reading at the guage cluster....that will eliminate the wiring then check the sending units and finally the guages.

wich guage cluster do you have?

the temp gauge and gas gauge share a common resistor/ share a common circuit. If they are both not operational it is most likely the gauges themselves, and would require replacement.
