I am looking for someone to make a custom crossmember for my mazda truck. I have installed a 5.0 motor and had to remove the factory member. I DO NOT WANT something is gonna keep me from layin out. I want a tubular crossmember made to clear the oilpan and bolt to the factory location. You can email me at danielj@customparts.biz for more info or measurements

you aint gonna get a tubular xmember that will be smaller than the stock one, your best bet is to cut down the stock one and plate it up.

That would be great if I could but I said plainly in my last post I wanted a crossmember that would allow me to lay out. If I do as suggested then that would be impossible. The oil pan is about 1/16" of an inch off the ground when layed out. I have a aftermarket crossmember here but it will not work. It keeps me off the ground.

how far off the ground is the oilpan under the front crossmember area?

I'm always one for trying somethnig new man, but it's almost impossible to make that thing without having the truck here. Unless you have some really good measurements. Drop me an e-mail with some dimensions.

I have machinist experience so I can get you messurements as close as needed. I personally am still trying to draw it up in my head to see what options I have to both look nice and have some stability to it.
