Anyone know a descent way to remove chrome plating? I am hoping to not have alot of grinder marks left when i am finished. Is there some sort of way of electrically de-plating it?

Don't know what you are wanting De-chromed, but if it is wheels just buy KMC, the chrome falls off those things in a year or two.

depending on what you want dechromed...try some aircraft stripper!...not sure if it works but a guy around here did it to his tacoma 4x4 bumper and it came out fine with no pits or nothing!

Yea, Helo rims must be of the same quality as KMC. Chrome is peeling off mine like aluminum foil..the rims only have 400 miles on em!

A bead blaster should get the chrome off.
