He didnt say anything about dragging. His comment was about being drivable. I happen to agree with him about a truck being better if driven. If I was not going to drive my truck I could have saved alot of money and just built a model. Having said this if someone decides to not drive their truck, good for them cause it is their truck.

My comment was not refering to dragging a truck. I won't drag mine when it's totally done. Dragging was fun for a little while...then I got tired of having to fix stuff. I just don't understand building a truck and it only rolls on and off a trailer. Alot of trucks you see aren't even driveable...via 25 series tires and not enough lift etc. I understand keeping them nice for as long as possible...that's fins. You don't have to daily drive them. But for a show truck to show and be featured yet you can't get into it and atleast drive it onto a trailer I think is rediculous. Just my .02, not that it matters.

"cause some jackass in black socks, Dickies, and a flat billed cap told me to do so. "

Darn those evil people. Seems they are the destruction of the world. There are many rejects in the scene and I know they dont all fit into the flatbiller persona.

My vote

This was pretty clean when it came out in late 98.

i know im double postin these pics, but i dont care this truck is badass! anyone have info or anything hook it up! gonna build one to match the lifted SD...

That truck is sick....the rolling shot makes my jaw drop. My favorite fullsize has to be Vince's 4-door from TCB. One of the most detail builds i've ever seen....not to mention it drives and drags unlike so many of the trucks mentioned in this thread.

I agree, they are much more fun to drive. The quote above sounds like you mean that if a owner doesnt drag his truck its not as cool. My point is that you can't compare the baddest of the bad show trucks with trucks associated with this scene because soo many of the owners destroy the bottom side of them having fun in them. I'm not saying dragging is wrong, and i'm not saying building a turntable truck is wrong either. I'm saying its impossible to compare a true "show truck" to a outdoor show truck that has cool paint, nice wheels, custom interior, but that is lacking a slicked out bottom side and "real" detailing. I guess whats "sick" to some isn't always "sick" to others, everyone has there idea of what the ultimate show truck is.

Oh yeah, I do completely agree about the statement about a truck being shot for a mag that cant even drive on to the trailer, that is ridiculous to me as well.

Jimbacca, yes your very right, not every reject wears black socks, dickies, and a flat billed cap. But, you do have to admit that is the uniform of choice at truck shows, so it gets kinda hard to differentiate between the jackasses and non jackasses..lol
