i have your control arms..when i was on the phone talkin to eric about them HE SAID they were gonna be made from DOM. well...when they got here i noticed that they were not made from DOM. i noticed the "seam" of the pipe/tubing that they were made of. i was mad at first (just because i was told they were made from DOM) but i didnt hear of anyone having problems with them breaking or bending so i didnt worry about it anymore.
Im not tryin to bitch or anything, but you shouldnt tell people that they ARE made of something that they are NOT.

TIM - I'M SORRY IF YOU GOT THE IMPRESSION THAT WE WERE BUILDING THEM OUT OF DOM. I DID NOT SAY THEY WERE BUILT OUT OF DOM. I HAVE NOT TOLD A SINGLE PERSON THEY WERE BUILT OUT OF DOM. I HAVE SENSE ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT IT IS EASY TO TELL EVEN WITHOUT SEEING ANY SEAM. WE WILL BE CHANGING EVERYTHING OVER TO DOM JUST TO MAKE EVERYBODY FEEL COMFORTABLE.

I'm not bashing by any means. I just need my arms. I ordered and paid in late March and I have been and will be extremely patient. I didn't want to post on here at all, but I have tried e-mails for weeks unsuccessfully and now I just need to know when to expect them. I am sure they will be worth it when I get them and I know he is busy. I'm just wrapping up the hard work on my house renovation and I want to get back on the truck when I get a little spare time.

What I dont understand is why ANYBODY would put there life on the line for a set of control arms. I for one will and can tell you that PIPE and TUBING are 2 entirely different items. Pipe is for the transferance of material ie water, air, fluid. Tubing is a structual type of round that has a side crush factor( per size) plus a longetugianal crush and bend factor determined by the length. I dont know who some of you have talked to about using sch 80 pipe for a structural not to mention a movable part that takes much abuse. WELL THEY TOLD YOU WRONG!! If you are doubting me then you need to take a metalurgy coarse and in that coarse you will understand what I am saying. Not only is PIPE a weaker material but a little bit more than half of it is made up of carbon basically what is left over from say torching. Black pipe is very soft and weak and never be used for something of this nature nor any type of roll cage material either. You would have better luck and better turn out using C.R.E.W. type tubing with a higher wall thickness. All the arms that I sell and build are made from 100% D.O.M. ( DRAWN OVER MANDREL PROCESS) tubing. I have watched the last 27 pages and am very concerned about the material used for these processes now. That is why I have Juggled my in.

I can & will 2nd that. I try to research everything to do with by build,every part!! I don't understand how or why the youth builders that are coming up can not see or care of the dangers that they seem to not care about! Build it your self, if you can,but find out what works,what to use & what is right!It's not just your life, or others ,it's the Mini Truck'in scene!
