droppin front end of a honda more

ive already got cylinders on my 94 accord. I know that you can cut out next to the fender to allow the ball joints to go higher. someone told me that you also have to tack weld the ball joints. any idea as to what he is talking about.

there talking about taching the ball joint to the upper arm because when you cut that out the weight of the front end rests on that and the ball joint will start to pop out

anyone got pics of where they tacked the balljoints
