but if u let it have really negative camber it goes up as high as u need it to (w/ no upper control arm)?

Keep in mind that this is just a temporary thing until I figure out where the control arm needs to be mounted. I just built this so I could cut the stock tower away and still know where to mount my control arms, they are 1 1/2 inches lower then stock.
I cant tell how low it actually is. I dont want to set it down because its a bitch to get back up. And I don't think that my little mount is really strong enough to sit down, again it's just temporary until I figure out exactly where everything needs to go. I have and am going to use 1 1/4" tubing running over the entire thing.
Right now if the axle is in it binds up about a half inch before it does with out it in. (I don't know if it is the lower ball joint binding or what) I need to do some testing still.
Sorry if the pics are huge.

IT LOOKS LIKE THE UPPER BALLJOINT OR UPPER CONTROL ARM PIVOT IS BINDING. IF U PIE CUT THE THE ARM & BRING THE END DOWN THAT WILLL BE GOOD. YOU MIGHT ALSO WANNA ADD MOE LENGTH TO EM TOO, TO MAKE UP FOR BENDING THE END DOWN.

It looks to me like you are already past laying out. When I had the 16s on the Prelude and it sat flat on the center crossmember the rockers were still farther from the ground than yours look now.

I hope so Chris. I really need to set it down but it is such a bitch to get it up. I will try to pie cut the control arms tonight. I can put a whole night into it tonight, no homework!!!
Chris could you measure the stock spindle on the Prelude? from the center of the hub to the ball joint. I want to see how much they actually took out of mine. You may have already posted the measurement on a diff page.

The tire is touching the fender right now. which sucks. I might have to work the fender a bit.

You could leave the car up and jackstands to check. Just run a 2x4 or 4x4 across between the wheels and jack that up to see how far it will go. I did post the spindle size a few pages back. I have to be very careful how much time I spend on SSM since there is a naked chick on every page.
