Sanden SD-508 EDC oil & oiler ??

I have a sanden SD-708 that just burnt up I believe I just ran it to hot I am going to try to find a switch to sut it down one it gets hot with the new one. I am going to chage out with the SD-508 my only other concern on my setup is my oiler and oil type What type does everyone else use?

My oiler is big as* 1/2 oiler the drops are huge the other setup I have doe I've used a 3/8 oiler on them I set the drops @ about a count to 3 apart @ idle I would like to avoid burnning up another one
