no power steering....and im having problems

hey i gotta 93, and i hit a pot hole and messed all the steering up, im wondering how i can fix it. it will jerk really hard left and right at random times, and it has like 4 inches in turning the wheel where there is no response.. can i tighten the steering or what do u think i should do? any help would be awesome thanx
