Primer

What's the best primer/sealer to use? I have a flat black primered sonoma with a painted graphic on it. I want to sand down the painted graphic and re-primer that area. This isn't a daily driver and I don't drive in the rain if that matters. I just want something that will last at least a year until I get it painted. Just as long as there will be no rust coming through!
