i bought a 6" Air cylinder from grainger.com...part #6w151 it think, fabbed up some tracks, plumbed it with an old 3 way electric valve that i had, and cut some depth off of a Gravity-Werx tag box. welded her all up and viola...tag goes up and down.
i had to regulate it WAY down to about 3 psi though. i had it just sitting in the tracks and not bolted yet.... tested it and the tag box dented the 16ft high ceiling in the garage. so make sure you secure it before testing it
oh yea, james gave me some pointers when i did mine and it worked great! until my buddy rear-ended me like 4 days after i finished it up.
no kidding about regulating it. even through 1/4" airline, that thing flew across the yard!

I'd like a retractable kit that works like in dash monitors personally, but that's beyond me to make one i'm a pussy.
