Where to mount front valves with V6

I got the 4.3 V6 in my S-10 and having troubles finding a spot to mount my front vavles up close to my bags. Where are you guys mounting yours?
Or... does it really make that big of a difference if their close to the bags, should I just mount them in the rear?
