Windsheild cutting?

How can I cut the windsheild down for a roadster that I'm building? I have no one locally to do it. I have heard that i can sandblast veeeery slow and do it,and I have also heard that I can use a wet belt sander again very slowly. Has anyone on here have hands on experiance doing this? Thanks In advance for any information
