Wheel backspacing?

I have a bagged 98 taco and was wandering what wheel backspacing or offset that you guys run. I just ordered some 18x7.5 wheels with a 40mm offset? I was told that this offset was necesary in order to run 225/40/18 tires. Let me know what you got!!
