5/8 in. airline vs. 1/2in airline

I am buying i/2 in parker valves with a 5/8 in. orfice and I was wondering how much faster it would be if I used 5/8 airline with them? then with the 5/8 airline, do you use regular 1/2 in fittings? any help would be great guys.
