Nitrogen Regulators?

I just got a bottle and a regulator. The outlet on the regulator is 1/4 inch. do you all run half inch out of the regulator or what? My line from the regulator to the tank is 1/2 inch so should I change the outlet to 1/2 or does it not even matter? And how much psi should I run out of the nitrogen?
