anyone live near Hamton SC.????

The company I work for is attempting to by a small thermoformer in the Hamton, South Carolina area. Just wondering if anyone on here lives near it. I've been through the area before but I didn't pay that much attention as I was driving to Parris Island to pick up my brother. I guess I'm asking is there much in the area to do, how much is the cost of living, blah blah blah.....


Oh yeah, the reason why i'm asking all this is that I may be moving there to get the place reorganized and running again.

where is hamton near..i'm close to myrtle beach myself

Its in the southern tip more towards the Georgia boarder. Myrtle might be an hour away.

augusta side or savannah side of the GA border? if so you are probably about 1.5 hr from where i am. i'm in pawleys island...near georgetown

Im in Florence...thats about 70 miles from the Myrtle Beach & your about 140 miles from me!

Well its right between augusta and savannah. Myrtle beach looks to be about an hour an half away.

I just don't know if I want to move yet. I am spoiled with my location for my projects. I have Air Ride, AFCO, Dynatech, PRC, Suicide Doors and CCE all with an hour drive max.

yea we have nothing around here...a few shops but i dont trust them...i took my teg to one place to get my lowering springs installed and i think that mofo had something to do w/ my car getting stolen.

my sis lives like 15mins from savannah...

myrtle beach has a lil bit to do if u arent from here..but..for me its boring as hell..naw mean..its your choice mang...make sure they pay u GREAT cuz down here homes are expensive and in most cases, they dont like to pay

The cost of living is a lot higher there than it is here. Thats kind of something I wanted to know so that when they start haggling about pay I have something in my corner.

We just started a new product at work this month that will add 1.75 million to our already 6million a month in sales and all the cheap bastard would give is a 1.344444444444% (" roughly 1.35% ") cost of living increase for the year.

So how is the crime situation down there?? I doubt I would take more than my daily and the truck, the others would stay here in storage. i have been looking through the locals trying to find a house to rent that has at least a 2 car garage and I'm not finding squat for like under 1200 a month. I'm not going to buy a house yet, at least not till I'm there over a year and things are going well.

crime is...climbing, like in any other place. its a haven for cars getting stolen..they hd a sting operation for an integra and supposedly caught the guy doing it..but i havent ever had issues w/ my truck ever getting broken into, knock on wood.

but yea..thats basically waht u looking at paying in rent...its crazy around here..if they send u here to check out the area get a local news paper, "the sun news" "the georgetown times", etc and chk to see if anything else is available.

I'm not really sure if and when it will happen. They are still working out the deal. I know what the priority will be, if and when the deal is made. They will probably give me less than 2 weeks to get stuff in order and be down there setting things up and fixing things.

As far as the car theft thing goes i'm not just too worried about that. More worried about the crank whores, tweekers and geekers. I'm so fed up with that crap these days. I swear there aren't many people that I know these days that can live without some form of chemical being in the body for it to function.
