HELP! Suspension

Hey, i have a problem with my control arm hitting my bump stop plate. everytime i drive even the slightest bump BOOM BOOM im not even driving that low. my frame is about 2"-2 1/2" from the ground. did you guys just cut out the plate? or did you guys notch control arm.??? HElp
