Yet another Welder question

I know that everyone always posts about welders and questions about em, nothing different from this post.
A guy i know is selling a craftsman 110v mig welder for $250
he says its an older model of the 20569 which is this welder http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&pid=00920569000
before anyone says it wont weld frame well, or that i should with a small machine like that, i dont plan on it. I dont know much about welding and just want to start somewhere. i am currently looking into night welding classes at the tech schools around me and want a welder that i can use at home.
I want to know if its a decent price for that, if it will work for what i want to do. Or should i spend the extra money for a better welder.
