ampr question?

Ok here is my question and im looking for an amp and i notice that the watts changes with the ohms. ex: "50 Watt X 4 @ 4Ohms bu then the 100 Watt X 4 @ 2Ohms" do they produce the same hitting power or does the 2Ohm hi tharder?Please help
