using DOT line from compressor to tank

is it ok to use regular DOT line from compressor to tank? im using the factory SS leader hose with the checkvalve and was planning on moving the compressor to under my bed so i'd have to extend the line somehow, is it ok to use DOT line? or will it melt from the heat?
