2004 Silverado stock head unit...???s

i've heard that the stock head unit(cd player) will only accept certain cd changers....does anybody have any info on this. im lookin to purchase a cd changer, specifically the Kenwood KDC-C719 10 Disc and want to make sure that it will work.
