painting on primer/sealer

I just got this truck with a lavender color and i didn't like it at first but it is growing on me.The guy told me that it is a color sealer and not paint.So my question is,Cn i put some of that powder pearl in some clearcoat and make the sealer glossy with that hint of pearl?
