Hey guys,

I have a 1992 Toyota truck and the manual window regulator is stripped out.

The handle just keeps spinning.

The window is stuck half way and won't go up or down.

My manual has an exploded view of the assembly but no instructions.

My question....

Do you have to remove the window to replace and if so how do you do that?

Thanks 1xr.

it has to be unbolted from the regulator. you'll have to get it to function enough to get to the bolts.

Thanks for the reply.

So as long as I get the window unbolted I can replace the regulator?

Meaning the window doesn't have to fully come out of the door?

Thanks again

Rise the glass to where you can access the two 10mm bolts @ the bottom of the changle, remove the glass. Unbolt the regulator assy. & remove!!

You don't have to remove the glass out of the door. A couple strips of green 3M masking tape around the top of the door will hold the glass in any position you need.

Thanks for the help fellas!

My window was stuck, so it was necessary to remove the bolts I could reach then physically push the window to where the other bolts were accessable.

Just in case anyone needs it:

There are 7, 10mm bolts holding it on.

3 on the handle mechanism, 2 on the equalizer arm, and 2 on the window bracket.
