questions about civics

can anybody give me some advice about putting cans in the front? should i cut out the top of the strut tower, to let the arm through, or buy drop forks, and section the spindle, or we i need to do all to make '99 civic hatch lay on the kit. i got the back too with just some minor work. i know i will be cutting up the front end somehow just need to get started.
