I know what you mean about the attitude. Met and spoke to him at a show this weekend. Said he builds nothing but cover vehicles with no exspence spared and Said he was pissed because Street Trucks didn't put it on the cover which was the agreement when they shot it.

He was never promised a cover. Ever. What he was told however is that his truck would be considered once we had a chance to go through the photos that Brandon Burrell shot. Burrell did an excellent job shooting Trail Mix but the decision was made to put an identifiable truck, a fullsize GMC, on the cover. After all, we're in the business of selling magazines and a body dropped fullsize GM brand will outsell a non-body dropped SUV every time.

Yeah what John O said is right. I actually called John from Slammin & Jammin and told him that i wanted to shoot Trailmix for him but the owner wanted cover. John said "shoot it and we will consider it". I did just that, shot it, and actualy spent over 2 hours on it trying to get every possible detail for Street Trucks to go trough. Ron called me like every other day wanting to know if i heard anything about it.

Then i got a couple rude calls about ST not running it on cover, yet it is also in MT at the same time with a drop in pic on the cover of MT, and he STILL isnt happy. I did my part and took the best photos possible, but when a person tells you point blank that thier truck WILL be on the cover of 4 major mags this year, no one can make them happy. I personally thing the layout looks great, the guys at ST and MT did a good job with my photos.

Thats why this site is so great, bringing together the common man, builders, and the magazine guys. Every possible angle.

I didn't know anything about this truck until I opened my new issue of MT tonight and saw it in there. I thought it should have gotten the cover instead of a feature. It's classy, clean and a little different looking too. But that's just my opinion.
