BYC/Kustomwerks/Etc Tubular Lower Arms

Just out of curiosity..... These tubular lower A-arms that nix the strut rods...Does this have any adverse affect on handling/safety/etc? I'm.. Actually just really curious. I know the strut rods are a major pain in the john brown hindparts... I guess I'm just trying to look at this from an inquisitive almost engineering standpoint. I know mine were bent to hell even before my wreck...but..anyway yeah.
