84 Toyota single cab short bed

great progress

Well I took a few days off to spend time with family, plus I ran out of gas for the welder. So today I started making the inner bed frame out of 1x2. I cut the pieces for the top of the bed sides, front cab panel, and the lower rear rockers. I hope tomorrow to cut pieces for the front rockers. Once that is done I will begin to weld those in place.

Filler pieces will be made to fill the gap between the 1x2 and the rocker panel to give it a finished look.

So I got started welding in the 1x2, so far looks pretty good. Once all the rockers have been done I will do the bed sides, then vertical braces. Couple pics of the work so far. Let me know what you think!
