Well I am finally getting to this mod that I wanted to do last year.
I have LED bulbs in place now but wanted something different. Found a company that will change your Supra lights to LED rings which looks killer, just out of my price range, around $700, use your lights!!
I used my old set to try all that is needed, & made up some LED panel inserts.
So today I started this mod, first remove the tail lights, separate the outer lens, remove the inner lens, get a fitment, & plan it out.
Looks like a tennis ball cut in half will center the LED plate, glue together ,glue in place. The wires I'll run through the stock bulb socket, which has rubber wire seals & a rubber sealing ring.

Today I got the LED plates in place ,wired up using the stock bulb sockets, inner & outer lens back in place & sealed up, tested all.
One tail light is done,on to the other tomorrow.tomorrow

They were bright,but I like the look of the LED rings behind the lens & something different few if any have.
The company that will make these up ,$700 with your lights!!

Vent tube revising was the last thing before reinstalling these lights.
That being done the lights are back on the truck, I had changed the front truns to LED's a while ago,but if not seen here they are
