Yes and no.

I advise it, but some people don't. It depends on how much of the cross member is gone at this point. One that isn't drug much you can get away with leaving it alone, and it will just be very close. If yours is drug the the LCA bolt then your oil pan will hit the ground first. I've heard from so many people how this works, or that works. But in my experience I prefer sectioning it. Mine is sectioned and about 1/2" off the ground. I am comfortable with that. Some people are comfortable with theres being 1/16" off the ground, or on the ground in some cases (a guy in my club). Its personal preference I guess.

But if its just hitting the cap (which is why I asked) then you can probably just get a pre-84 valve cover from a 22R or 20R and be fine as long as it clears the intake. Those move the oil cap back farther on the cover, where the hood is taller.

my motor mounts would not have touched if I'd not had that done.
not all the trucks are exactly the same as you'd think they are.
I haven't looked back in your thread, but is your truck z'd? does it need to be? very important factors in the motor mount/front frame horn equation.

so i got off my lazy ass and did something to the yota.started to weld the floor,its almost done i need to finish the front and i need to clean and touch up a few things here and there.heres a few pics should have more done to it this week.........
