22s on the rear of a dawg

ok im think of going a 20/22 combo on one of my dawgs, and i was wondering how much a BD can be done before it starts getting stupid such as cutting the top of the bed and having bubbles n shit. i was thinking a 2" BD but i wanted your guys opnion
