rear brake proportioning valve

seen in alot of the pretaco trucks on here that they take out the rear proportioning valve. how does this affect your braking? i know its purpose, so with out it you shouldnt get equal pressure to both back wheels. any one running it daily? also for you guys that kept it while bagging your truck is the rubber hose from the valve to axle long enough for the travel in your suspension (with 7-10" lift)?
