front bag mounts

has anyone seen the new minitruckin? i see aim is selling a bag strut looking thing for torsion bar mini's now, i was think of an easy way to bag the front of minis that would make it easier to install, my idea was more like the shock wave though! i know it's possible to make something like that yourself , but what would be the easiest way? just weld some round tubing to a flat piece of steel, andthen weld a bolt to the top of it and then put a nut on top of it, after sliding th ebolt through the upper shock mount. then weld a small hoop on the bottom of another plate to bolt in the lower shock mount? or do you guys think that would work and be sturdy?
