anyone else modify frame for 2500#

i have airlift 2b6 bags which are equivelant to firestone 2500#. did anyone else have to modify their 91 s-10 frame AT ALL? I installed mine but can't tell if the bag is touching the lip or the upper cup is. i can't get my finger all the way up past the bag/cup.
