Front center x-member and hinged taillight

I dragged the fuck outta my front center crossmember and when I drove it last, it cracked. I unbolted it and pretty much dragged it in half. I'm gonna replace the actual crossmember with a new one, but I was wondering what anyone else had done! Second, I want to hinge my drivers side taillight to open for the fuel door. Anyone got ideas. I've been out tinkering with cutting and bending rods. Maybe I'm just burnt right now...Help?
