Stock tank between rails

Wondering how some of you guys that used the stock fuel tank and mounted it sideways between the frame rails went about doing it. 89 std cab. Thanks

IVE BEEN LOOKING AT SOME OF THE BUILD THREADS AND THERE ARE TONS OF GUYS DOING THAT TO THIERS!
CHECK SOME OF THOSE OUT, THEY AHVE TONS OF GOOD EYE CANDY PICS ALSO!!!

here's what i did, really simple, quick, and easy. Plus im a tight wad and just had some angle iron laying around so i made this lol.

Then i just spliced the wires for the harness and extended them along the frame rail back. I was told that i needed to extend the hard gas line with more hard gas line due to fuel pressure, I wasn't 100% on that but ended up using AN fittings and steel braided lines to extend the hard gas lines.

And for those of you wondering, yes the truck is now notched and lays out, never realized how weird it looked like this until now hahahaha.

Thanks, its not much to look at now, just a cab on a frame, truck came from utah so a lot of stuff was rusted im having to replace, also having to buy and redo pretty much everything related to the brakes because they haven't been changes since it was new apparently lol.

here is how i did a stock 86 tank in my 73's frame, which is a bit narrower then the later years frames.

I thought about adding something to mine to angle it like it was in the stock position cause i still have the factory mounting brackets, should i? Is it gonna mess with my fuel gauge since it's sitting level right now?
