cutting your frame in half for a 2in body drop?

I have seen a couple of chevy guy do it to there trucks locally and was wondering if it was possible to do to a toyota? what they do is reinforce the top 2in of there frame with some 2x2 and cut off of the lower 2in off the frame then z the front and gusset it all together. If they can do it why cant we?

It can be...Ive got a friend who did it to his Nissan Hardbody. He took the whole body off the frame, cut the frame done-pretty much in half & boxed it. There are several guys on that are doing that as well.

Thats how I did my 85 toy. Instead of just boxing it I put 2x2x1/4 in it. And welded the top solid and plud welded it every 3-4 inches on the inside and outside.

do you got any pics or any more info on how you did this? did you z the front, and if so, did you z it 3.5in in stead of the traditional 1.5?

ok im lost im wantin to bodydrop mine i have zd it 2 3/4in bout everyone says that i can body it on my 20s that i have. an i dont want it wear the tires are into the hood an fenders. is there anythin that i can do to body drop it.
