^learn to weld you hack! those looks great, how thick is the plate the spindle is welded to? Some pics of the back side?

1/2" plate. Then it's internally boxed and gussetted 6 ways to the inside of the spindle, welded on both sides of everything, and tabbed through the backing plated and welded again. You can see heat marks from the internal side gussets.




I designed some more parts to be laser cut for them, one with a logo, that really won't even be seen once a rotor is on.

Oh, the spindle also plunges through the plate and is welded to the back side of it, and then the back of the spindle is reinforced to all sides of the knuckle.

Yeah thats fine. I figure it would save me some money to redo them verus ordering bushings, bending some tube and redoing the mounts

well i just hope to hell im done by june. guess i will miss unite and s'n'j but i will not miss scrapin. i will quit everything june 1st if im not done just to finish the truck. all it will need is minor assembly but we all know how time slips.

got my seats in, so heres the halfway mark of this months goal for me =)

I got the stereo installed in my new daily. Eclipse 5100 head unit with iPod interface, Arc Audio FD6000 component set are new. Everything else 5-10 years.






I need a new dash panel if anyone finds one from a 90-92 truck. Someone mangled this one it looks like trying to pry the head unit out. But it bolts in from the back side to the dash frame. ::)


That's it for my daily. Nothing on the project truck until I get laser cut parts.. I sent out the drawings, they just need to be done in CAD and then cut. I also need to get the cab done so I can start some measurements for the back half.
