So on my 91 that i got my motor rebuilt and i installed and come to find out the trans was shit. I picked up a used rebuilt trans (so they say) and today i pulled my shit trans and it was kind of a bitch...anyone ever have problems removing a 5spd? Or know any tricks on putting it back in? Because when i pulled it, it rubbed the pressure plate a lil on the way down...do i have to just muscle it up? Thanks

Just lining it up before you try to push it all the way in is all I can think of. The first time I pulled a 5spd and put it back in (It was to replace the clutch & throw out bearing) I didn't put the retainer clip back that holds the throw out or release bearing on the shaft so the whole time I was fighting with it was because of that spring! LOL

You could unbolt the motor from its mounts & try jacking the motor up some. It may give you the extra clearance needed.
