Parking Brake cable replacement...

How do you remove and replace the parking brake cable that attaches to the handle inside the cab?

the best thing i ever did was bought a haynes manual. you have to take the bottom part of the dash off, remove the handle, and there is a little pin you got to pop out to get the cable out. the is a hole on the on side of the handle. get a hammer and a hole punch or something to knock it out and then you can twist the handle enough to get the cable out. just make sure when you put the pin back in it is in right. because it pushes the button in that makes your brake light come on and off.

I have a chilton and all it says about the parking brake is how to adjust it.

I thought the Haynes was similiar to the Chilton.
