What kind of dash

So I'm kinda at a stand still with my Dash. I don't know if I should sand it all down and paint it or make one out of metal. Well what ever I do I'm making a center console to go all the way to the back of the back seats. I never have made one before. So I was wondering to go with Fiberglass or steel.
What are your opinions?

Sanded and painted can look pretty nice. Just depends on what style you're shooting for...

I was all about swapping in dashes, But I got my Yota with the stocker sanded and painted and continued with the rest of the interior and Im loving the Yota dash now

i would make one just to be different
and the center console if you are going to wrap with tweed suede or leather
i would use the 1/4 in flexible panel board they use in interior shops when i helped out my buddy in his shop thats all he used

but if your going to paint it id use fiber glass it would be cheaper price on metal has gone up alot in the past 4 mths atleast around here they have

1/4 flex board is the shit.

I know regardless what I do I'm going to paint it the same color as the outside.
