auto transmission ???

Anyone know what the model #'s for auto trannies will bolt up to the 22r motors? Overall length, tramisson mount difference vs 5spd, drive shaft length difference??

i'm working on a friends truck and he wants to swap the 5spd for an auto, so i'm looking for as much info as I can get. I have been trying to find a 2wd with auto so i could get everything out like the flexplate, driveshaft, radiator, tranny mount, etc. Only luck I have had has been 4wds or getting it piece by piece. Its for an 86 swb standard cab.

they're listed in the back of a haynes manual. By model #. if you dont have your answer today I'll look when I get home tonite.

i was going to say i'd look on mine, and measure, but i have an x-cab lwb. same year and motor.. but different driveshafts..

hey quinn im about to go home for lunch... i can look in my haynes manual to see what it says. i have a buddy in kentucky that pulled an auto trans out of an 80's body style, single cab, two wheel drive truck... i think he's still got the tranny. i can call him and ask what he has left. i know the chassis is just sitting behind his garage.

You could call TAP-Toyota Auto Parts out in Cailifornia & they could help you. I do know that the automatic trannys were longer than the manual trannys.

I looked in the back of my manual this morning and all it gave were the manual tranny's too.
