TRANSMISSION ANGLE?

i cut my stock trans crossmember out with the trans held in place, so i could put my new one in. well the jack got moved and now i don't know how high up the new mount needs to be. is there a stock angle that it needs to be set at? because i will have to set my pinion angle accordingly. and should the angle of the trans be pointing it up or down?
