Electrical Problem

I have a paracidic drain on my battery of like 5.5 amps and i have been trying to figure it out. I have traced it down to a solid whit wire that comes out of the fuse box under the hood. The fuse is the AM1. What does this go to? i am assuming to goes to the interior of the cab cause there is a plug on the left fender that when i unplug it the drain goes away so it is somewhere in the cab i assume.

Does anyone know anything about this or maybe a wiring dagram that is better than the shitty Haynes manual.

This thing has me stumped

try going to your local Napa. I was having an electrical problem and just so happened to stop by there and they were able to give me a wiring diagram that was a 2309523423 times better then any book i had access to.

I have the 1988 Truck& 4 Runner electrical Wiring Diagram book from Toyota( should be the same for 87) you can get this from Toyota . That white wire goes from the ignition s/w to the fuse,to the battery,& from there to the starter

You may find something loose...I speak from experience!!

nothing is loose and i know cause i have had everything apart and back together more than once now

Well I found out what the problem is. The Choke heater is what was pullingthe 5 amps. Now i just have to find the part and oriellys and autozone cant even get it.

Anyone know where i could get one

And fyi toyota wants 171.00 for this part.

There is no way i am going to pay that much I have decided if i cant find the part i will buy a weber carb.

Yeah, a lot of the special switches & controllers can only be got @ the dealer & are always a brunch of money. I've had to buy a few of them!!!
