tail lights....

tell me why the heck they had to discontinue offering the completely clear tail light lenses for our 84-88 pickups?!?!

fortunately for the 89-95 crowd, they are starting to repop the clear and clear/red lenses.......


good thing is they still make the front corners and bumper lights in clears.

Depending on county, cops in Cali don't like much of anything that modifies a vehicle from stock, whether its clear tails, LED headlights, exhaust, or even moderate lowering... It was a nightmare driving my WRX in San Diego County, couldn't even go out on weekends without someone yanking me just to bust my balls and look for infractions, much less coming out of the Q after the race legal drags, it was just asking for someone to ticket me, even if there wasn't anything truly illegal on my car. Further north tho, towards Kern/Inyo, no one even blinked.

yea well ive learned that if they detain you and have no legit reson for it you can seriously fuck with em as to why you are being detained.... you figure if theyre gonna try and ticket you anyways (a-holes enough to pull you over for no reason) you can immediately ask why you are being detained. if they cant answer you, you can tell them give you their badge number or write down their patrol car unit and report them.

i say it cus ive done it already....

anyhow.... i agree, they dont like much of anything.... ive found however that CHP is worse. they will snag you over if they see anything and its a slow night.

i heard from a lot of people that you get hasseled over the clear tail lights... i put mine on expecting to get messed with and so far ever time ive been pulled over non of the cops have ever said anything about them. oh well... ill keep them until im told otherwise. haha.

but yeah down by the beach, those cops are dicks. my buddy and i got pulled over one night in his s-10...got a ticket, when we pulled out into traffic, made it one block and got pulled over by another cop. lol. it was less than 3 minutes apart. showed him the ticket and he read it and said, you got lucky, i would have written you up for a lot more.
