can this be cut out? since the crossmember that my upper link bars are on is pretty close to this one, will that be strong enough to keep things from flexing? im just trying to make sure the driveshaft has enough clearance.

why not just notch it and make a new tunnel?

im just trying to lay frame on a 225/40/18. i hope i won't have to tunnel any of the cab, since im not body dropped. and the crossmember has already been notched up to the top strip of metal that runs across it. i just thought if i cut that strip out, i could get a couple more inches before it gets close to the cab. it can't be that structural in the state its in now anyway.

I cut mine out and cleaned it up so it looks like it was never there. I have another crossmember about 3 inches from where that one was.

cut that ugly bitch out.. as long as you build another xmember somewhere near that same area youre fine, example, where youre 4link would mount too
