Has any of you guys ever installed these on your trucks? I bought a Summit line lock kit and can't seem to get it to work. I'm I doing something wrong?
Thanks, any help is much appreciated
btw here are a few pics of it hooked up,
what kind is it..some types are different
some you have to hold the button before you press the brakes and some you hold the button while holding the brakes
It's the kind that you push the pedal down, then push the button and release the brake pedal
He is the link to the one I have,
The way I have it hooked up I thought would work but I must be doing something wrong?
looks right to me make sure you have a good ground if it grounds through the mounting bracket clean off the paint so that you have metal to metal contact if it has a ground wire make sure it is on a good clean bare metal ground if that dont work make sure your getting power, probe the wire close to the line lock with a test lightalso make sure you have all the air bled out of the brakes. if none of that works i would consider calling summit to see if you can exchange it. Also i looks like you have more than 2 ports make sure that the ones your using correspond with each other it looks like there is more than one way to hook the lines up.
does our trucks have Split Diagonal brake systems? Someone mention this to me a while ago but I already forgot.
Thanks
check to make sure you are getting a full 12v to the switch.
1. stupid question. but what does that do? is it like a security feature?
2. i would love to hear what that truck sounds like at a street light.. a toyota with a v8 , does it still have the stock ecu? im going to have a lot of questions to ask you in the future... lol
the correct answer is......
Wicked bad burnouts.
well I tried that and still not locking it up. I think that is has something to do with the lines but I have no clue.
