well they do make everything for them but how different can u make an s10 from another. all they have is a first gen an second gen. where as yotas have ... hell i don't know how many gens the trucks are. an im on s10forum.com and its one of the biggest mini truck sites out there. but also there is alot of bullshit thats on that site
We have the Stout. Two Hilux generations. Three pickup generations, and now two Tacoma generations. As well as the Tundra and the T100.
i thought that there where more than 2 generations of the tacoma. i know they changed the front end on them a couple of times. that not make it a different gen, but the dashes were changed a little.
i've owed 2 chevys and i think that they are crap. had a 92 jimmy 4.3 vortec and a 98 s10 4x4 4.3 vortec and both of them were junk.
They were still the same body style, just a different front end. Theres the 95-04 Taco, and the 05+ Taco. The 95-04 can be split up into 95-00 and 01-04. But its still the same frame, cab and bed.
S-10's are a dime a dozen. I don't want to see bolt on stuff for the toyota's, then they wouldn't be any better.
Toyota frames aren't as bolt on friendly either. Too thin to base suspension off of as far as bolts go. It would tear.
I guess bolt on motor mounts are ghey then?
i would totally be down with some bolt on stuff but not to the extent of s10 stuff. just minor things to make life a little easier.. but as much as I love suicidedoors.com, i think they took it too far with a bolt on back-half. building a frame back half use to be a major mod. but now every other kid with a little money and a s10 will be boasting that their truck is bagged and back-halved.
But still, a custom backhalf will still be a badass modification. But SD is driving down the prices so the little guys make less money.
oh yea. dont get me wrong, a sick ass back half will always be a major thing to do. but i was just saying that the s10 kids will be bragging about it like it was just a major as doing it on a mazda or toyota when all they did was cut and bolt somethings together.
