So I finally bought myself a TIG welder. I don't know how long I have wanted one now, but I finally got one! Its scheduled to get here on Friday. So I went and bought a new Argon bottle, some fancy TIG gloves, and 10# of ER70S2 in 3/32" and 1/16" sizes. I just need to pick up a bunch of tungsten, just couldn't remember what size collet the welder came with, so I will go back tomorrow. Now all thats left is to get good at it.

Oh yeah, I bought a Lincoln.

I've had enough of what Miller considers "Customer Service".

I still have a lot to buy for my garage too. Ughh. I don't even want to think about it. I still need a press, industrial band saw, sheetmetal brake, planishing hammer, mill, a spot for the lathe, and god knows what else. I need more room.

get in good with the recycling centers and stuff...you'd be suprised at what people throw away. my buddy ken picked up his lathe and mill from a recycling place...it way old and has that earie old fashion rustic look but its bad ass and works just fine. all he had to do was replace a belt.

thats a nice looking welder. it looks hard as hell to use. haha.

Its not that hard, just takes coordination.

I already have a 50s Southbend. Its got that old look to it. I want a newer LeBlond though, thats what we have at school and they are awesome. I like the Bridgeport mills we have too. But I'm just waiting for them to close the machine shop so I can buy stuff. They have been slowly canceling classes for the last 2 years.

Same for me. Have to finish the electrical in my new 30x40x12 shop before I can get to my tool list. I plan to get the two post lift first, then the tire machines (mount AND balancer), then the 48" break, then the time machine....wait I wasn't supposed to tell you that. I have every thing else....for now.
